Vision 

This park addition seeks to offer respite and inspire hope for health care staff and first responders. It acknowledges their continued contribution from the Pulse tragedy, pandemic struggles, and beyond.

While the focus is on the eastern shore of Lake Beauty, we seek to enhance the existing park with the new space, tie in to the future survivors walk, and leave flexibility for future campus wide connections.

Project Phases

Concept Design - Construction Observation

Construction of the Lake Beauty Park expansion finished in the summer of 2023.

In addition to being one of the lead designers and project managers of this project while I was at Dix.Hite, I designed the four custom shade canopies titled "Heart Showers". The hearts were hand-drawn by Orlando Health staff before they started their shift. I digitized the hand-drawn hearts and arranged them in four unique patterns. While each heart is unique, the collective arrangement symbolizes the community of the Orlando Health team members.
